Irving Lehman Modernist Original Work on Paper
The Lehman original works on paper span his career from the Art Deco 1920s to the Art Moderne early 1930s in Manhattan to the dawn of the 20th century MCM Mid-Century Modern Era. Centered around Lehman's highly desirable 1940s period when he moved to Brooklyn to work at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. During the War Effort on to his Post-War mid 1950s through mid 1960s New York School Abstract Expressionist period and extending into the 1970s when he reintroduced the figure into his compositions in a stylized manner. This is one of 25 original Irving G. Lehman works on paper that came from the artist's family in the late 20th century.
